WELCOME and thank you so much for taking the time to visit our website and research the possibilities in these pages.  I moved to NW Arkansas in 2004 with my family of two preschoolers, and a husband starting a new job.  We diligently searched for a Sitter who could give us, as a married couple, a chance to spend some time alone together.  Our efforts were futile.  While looking into preschool options, I was told that most preschool programs had a 2-4 year waiting list.  What would I do?  And then, my mind took me back ten years ago to Kansas City where I had been a Nanny for two summers.  I had thoroughly enjoyed the job, and had even worked for the same Agency's Sitter service off and on for 3 years.  I had gotten my undergraduate in education and was seeking a job as a High School Teacher.  Working as a Nanny and a Sitter during those years provided the income I needed and the interaction with children and families that I loved.
 
After that experience, I did become employed as a High School teacher and later quit that job to become a stay at home mom.  As I reflected on this journey that God had taken me down, I realized I was equipped to pursue a small business that would benefit from these experiences.  I have been a Nanny and a Professional Sitter, I have worked with parents and children as a teacher, and I now have my own adorable (but sometimes awnry) children.  My husband and I consulted with the agency in Kansas City and then decided to take a leap of faith.   The Nanny Connection ltd. was incorporated in February and we began advertising in April of 2004. 
 
Over 3 years later, we are serving more than 300 families.  It has been a wonderful experience to place loving Nannies in the homes of families new and old to the area.  It has also been quite a treat to provide the Sitters needed to give stay at home moms the relief they need - not to mention giving married couples an opportunity to go on dates again!!
